Only the second time we have bottled a cask from this lovely distillery in Pitlochry.Deep gold with large, lingering beeds suggesting a voluptuous mothfeel. A slight nose prickle to start, with teak oil, artistsā turpentine and furniture polish; then buttery vanilla sponge behind. The latter moves forward and becomes Eveās Pudding (apple sponge). A surprisingly perfumed palate, with Parma violets; dry over all.Water supresses the aroma somewhat, although the apple sponge is still apparent. A smooth texture, with a dash of water; sweeter, but still dry overall, and still traces of Parma violets in the aftertaste.Complex and satisfying.
